Sundowner Drive to Hippo Pool

Story:

In 1778 the last hippos were shot dead on the Seekoei river by Jacob Gordon the Governor of Netherlands , he shot as many at 26 hippos per day. In 2005 PC reintroduces a family group and its now the only hippos in the Northern Cape. Dr Mabunda the then CEO of SanParks awarded PC with a prestigious Kudu award for his contribution to conservation.

Every afternoon at 17h00 in winter and 18h00 in summer PC will take you on a relaxing drive down to the hippo pool. Enjoy sundowners on the hippo deck and watch the only hippos in the Karoo, while PC shares their incredible story with you.
